We understand that printing your own seamless patterns can be rather daunting so we've come up with a list of frequently asked questions which will hopefully answer any questions you may have. What Is Print Your Own?

Print your own is basically what it says. You print your own designs on to various fabrics. The design needs to be a seamless design so it's able to be repeated across the fabric. 

Where Can I Buy A Seamless Print?

You can either design your own seamless design or have someone design one for you. We have a list of seamless pattern designers here who are all extremely talented and all add their own unique twist to their designs. 


Can I Have Anything I Want Printed?

You must own the rights to the design that you want printed. All designs sent to us are checked before they are sent off to the printers. We take copyright extremely seriously & any design that breaches copyright will not be sent, your order will be cancelled and your money will be refunded. If however the design has been sent to the printers and the fabric has been printed and it breaches any copyright I am not liable for this and no refund will be given & the fabric will be destroyed. 


What Are The Fabric Options?

We currently print on Jersey Knit 220gsm, 240gsm, 260gsm, French Terry, PUL, Sports Fabric, Swim SPF50, Cotton Poplin, Cotton Canvas, Minky, Minky Laminate & Double Gauze


Can I Order A Sample Before I Place An Order?

Yes. We have samples in stock so you can see for yourself the quality of the fabrics. Please see the individual sample listing as there is a small fee for this. We won't be able to send you your designs printed but we can send you designs that we own. All fabrics are of the highest of quality and are Oeko Tex Certified. 


Is There A Minimum Amount I Have To Order?

There is a 1 metre minimum per design. If you would like to order multiple designs and varied amounts per design when ordering select the amount you would like to order and in the notes at checkout leave a list of how many metres of each design you would like printed. 


Do You Offer A Bulk Discount?

We offer bulk discounts. The more you buy the more you save. Please see individual listings for savings.  


How Do I Send My File?

Once you have placed your order please send your files to sewmanythreads1@gmail.com Please put your order number as the subject. Please do not send us a screenshot of your design or save the file to your phone to then send to us. You can reduce the quality of the file and the file could end up being printed at a smaller scale. If you can forward the email directly from the designer or ask the designer to send the file directly to us. 

Do You Offer A File Check Service?

We don't i'm afraid. Please ask the designer to check they meet the specifications before sending them to us. The file types we accept are: JPEG, PDF, TIF, PNG. They will need to check the size is what you would like to to be, It's got a resolution of 300DPI, the repeat pattern will repeat and will print in the correct format. I will ask the printers to check all files before they are printed and if there's any issues I will email you using the email address provided on your order. 


Do You Keep My File?

We keep your files on file under your name incase you re-order. This means you won't have to re-send your file or have it checked. If you are re-ordering please leave a note at checkout which design you would like to use. Your file is your file. We will not re-print or use it for anyone else. We keep all files for a minimum of 12 months, if your file hasn't been used within 12 months it will be deleted. 


What Is The Turnaround Time?

All orders are currently sent on a monthly basis. The date for orders to be in by varies each month. Please see the individual listings for cut off dates. Each order once placed with the printer can take unto 3-4 weeks. I will try my best to keep you updated with the progress of your order. During busy periods such as Christmas and bank holidays turnaround times could be slightly longer. 


How Will My Order Be Sent To Me?

If you order under 5m your orders will be sent folded. If you order over 5m your order will be sent on a cardboard bolt via a courier. We do our best to send you your order in one continuous piece however due to the print process this may not be possible. 


My Fabric Contains Some Flaws..

When printing your own fabric there can be some small flaws. This can be any of the following:

Small white specks

Small Ink marks or ink smudging

Grease type dark patches. 


These flaws are usually minimal & usually no larger than 3cm in diameter. When your fabric arrives with me I will always check it for any of the above before it’s sent out to you. If however there is a flaw larger than 3cm the printer will reprint your design at no extra cost. 


To summarise you are responsible for the file to be checked before it’s printed. To send the file in the correct format with a resolution of 300DPI. We will take no responsibility for the designs that don’t repeat, distorted or printed at the wrong scale size. The printer will always check the file & they always ask if the scale size is the correct size. If you’ve not notified me of the size &  ive had no reply when I’ve tried to contact you I will assume the scale is to the correct size &

Instruct the printer to go ahead. If the printer finds any issues with the file they will let me know. I will be in touch via the email address provided at checkout. You must own the design & not breach any copyright laws.
